Tactical Control is the authority used to direct the execution of air operations. It lets the JFACC task and maneuver air assets from all services, assign missions, set timing, and coordinate routes and deconfliction across the theater to achieve operational objectives. Administrative and logistical support remains with each service under ADCON, rather than being moved under the JFACC.
